I graduated from the Massage Therapy Program through Kaplan University in January of 2009. I am also NCBTMB Board Certified. More info on this certification can be found at http://www.ncbtmb.org/consumers.php
I am very excited about being a Massage Therapist. It took me a while to decide what area of the medical field that I wanted to get into. I decided that I wanted to start out by helping people rid themselves of some of their stress. It may only be an hour at a time, but every little bit helps. Stress has actually been linked in many different studies to one of the contributing causes of diseases. Working and taking care of our families every day puts a lot of stress on us. It amazes me the difference from how my clients feel when they get on the table and actually relax to how their mood and bodies feel at the end. Stress relief is just one on the list of many benefits that our bodies can get out of receiving massage.
The following is a list of actual hands on CEU classes I have attended:
February 2011: Zero Balancing I
July 2013: Prenatal Massage
September 2013: Hot Stone Massage
October 2015: Thai Massage Fundamentals
October 2017: Focus on Shoulders, Arms and Hands
On a personal note... I have three daughters and a grandson that are the light in my life, and the ones that keep me from getting my head lost in the clouds. I enjoy reading, watching movies, and believe it or not... I love to bowl. I like taking short trips with the family to explore Nebraska. We just started this past summer so we haven't hit many spots yet, but our list has definitely kept growing.
